Strengthening International Links: Meeting the Canadian Ambassador in Mullingar

Watt Footprint were invited to showcase Irish business success on a recent visit.

This week, Watt Footprint were invited to join a select group of Westmeath businesses for a roundtable discussion with Dennis King and Adeline Grenier during their visit to Mullingar.

We would like to thank Robert Troy, Local Enterprise Office Westmeath, and the Department of Finance for the invitation and for recognising the role that regional companies play in Ireland’s international business landscape.

The session brought together innovative local enterprises including Bevcraft Group, Butler Manufacturing, Lough Ree Distillery, and our hosts at Mullingar Park Hotel, showcasing the strength of businesses operating far beyond Ireland’s major cities.

For us, the event was an excellent opportunity to share our company’s story, highlight our growth ambitions, and explore potential connections within the expanding Canada-Ireland trade corridor. With bilateral investment continuing to grow, the visit underscored the potential for Irish companies to build meaningful partnerships in the Canadian market.

We look forward to developing the relationships formed and continuing to represent Westmeath innovation on the global stage.
