Project Manager

The Role:

We are looking for a client-facing, detail-oriented Project Manager to lead deliver our energy efficiency and sustainability projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical systems from initial design through to on-site implementation, working closely with clients, contractors, and our internal teams. You will act as the key point of contact for mechanical engineering elements, ensuring systems are high-performing, innovative, and aligned with each client’s sustainability and energy goals. You will manage the full lifecycle of the mechanical workstream, including system design, contractor coordination, site visits, installation oversight, and commissioning - ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction throughout.

 

While the role is remote, candidates must be based in Ireland, possess a full driver’s licence, and be available for monthly in-person company training events.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the mechanical engineering aspects of energy efficiency projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines

  • Serve as the primary client-facing representative for mechanical systems, effectively managing client expectations and communications

  • Conduct on-site assessments and manage relationships with contractors and subcontractors during implementation and commissioning phases

  • Design, specify, and optimise mechanical systems, including HVAC, heat pumps, and other energy-efficient technologies

  • Develop detailed technical documentation and project specifications for mechanical installations

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and energy consultants to integrate mechanical systems into holistic project designs

  • Ensure all mechanical designs comply with building regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines

  • Provide hands-on technical oversight during installation, testing, and troubleshooting phases

  • Monitor system performance post-installation to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in energy efficiency, HVAC or renewable energy

  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering engineering solutions

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and energy-efficient building technologies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems to non-technical audiences

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of cross-functional teams

  • Highly organised, with experience managing multiple projects and site-based implementation
