Operations & HR assistant

The Role

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and dependable Assistant to the Head of Operations to support the smooth running of Watt Footprint's day-to-day operations.

This is a varied role combining executive support, office management, and HR administration. You will work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure priorities stay on track, business operations run efficiently, and the wider team has the support they need to perform at their best.

This role requires someone who enjoys taking ownership, can work independently, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing business.

Remote role but will need to attend regualar meetings in Dublin and Mullingar

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive support to the Head of Operations, ensuring priorities, meetings and key actions are organised and delivered on time.

  • Manage HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee records, annual leave, and employment documentation.

  • Produce accurate reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and business documentation to agreed deadlines.

  • Track operational actions and projects, ensuring owners are held accountable and deadlines are met.

  • Maintain accurate business records and identify and implement improvements to administrative processes and business efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Operations Coordinator, HR Generalist, or similar business support role.

  • Demonstrable experience independently managing office operations and HR administration.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional business documentation.

  • High attention to detail and experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern cloud-based business systems, with the ability to quickly learn new software.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
